1. Every syllable has only one vowel sound. Some syllables have just one vowel; others have two. But even when there are two vowels, there can be only one vowel sound in each syllable, so the two vowels say one sound.
For example, out-side.

2. When the vowel's at the end of a syllable, it has a long sound. Reading specialists call the Vowel-Consonant-Vowel (Vcv) pattern an open syllable.
For example, be-low.

3. When the vowel is not at the end of a syllable, it has a short sound. Reading specialists call the Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (Cvc) pattern a complete syllable.
For example, bas-ket.

4. Divide syllables in the middle of doubled consonants, unless the doubled consonant is part of a syllable that is a base word.
For example, din-ner and tell-er.

5. Normally keep vowel teams together in the same syllable.
For example, boat-ing.

6. Keep the silent final "e" and the vowel before in the same syllable. The silent final "e" makes the vowel before a long sound if there is only one consonant in in the middle of the vowel and the "e".
For example, basement.

7. Keep the "r"-control vowels (ar, er, ir, or, and ur) in the same syllable.
For example, or-al-ly.

8. Keep the consonant-"le" sounds (ble, cle, dle, fle, gle, and ple) in the same syllable. These syllables have the schwa sound in the middle of the consonant and the "le". The schwa sound sounds like a nasal short u.
For example, cra-dle.

9. All words have one syllable that has a original accent. The vowel in the accented syllable receives the stress. Words may also have secondary accents. The original accent is Normally found on the vowel in the root, not the prefix or suffix. Also, the syllable before a duplicate consonant is Normally accented.
For example, slów-ly and swím-ming.

10. Unaccented vowel sounds oftentimes have the schwa sound, especially when there is only one letter in the syllable. All vowels can have the schwa sound.
For example, a-boút.

School Christmas Programs or Plays can be difficult to say the least. Children are hyper because of the thoughts of the holidays. Teachers are anxious and do not want to have an added burden. Parents have so many other appointments on their calendar that this because just an additional one "thing" that I have to do. All in all, with the negative vibrations given out by all the stress, Christmas programs need to be something special to be a success. Here are some suggestions to make for a "stress less" Christmas Program.

How is Creating a flourishing School Christmas schedule

Audience participation is the key to having a good Christmas Play or Program. Christmas is a time when everyone is feeling the spirit and if they get or have to go to a schedule you can see them tapping their toes and quietly mouthing the words. Take advantage of this and make them the chorus. Make it a society schedule and have the audience as the choir or at least give them a occasion to sing along with the choir two or three times during the program. Have the chorister tell them that they are to sing along whenever they are directed to do so.

To make this work you need to do a merge of things.

1. Pick songs in your schedule that are familiar and people hear all the time.

2. If you want them to sing something that they recognize, but may not know the words then print the words in the program.

3. You aren't printing a schedule then put them on an overhead or put them in a power point and project them onto a screen.

4. In your schedule indicate which songs are to be sung by the audience.

This type of schedule works with students in schools, also. The last thing a child at Christmas wants to do is sit and listen to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. They want to sing it and touch the joy of the story. So write a short script and comprise a lot of well known songs and request the audience to sing. You will find that it is one of the best programs you have ever had and the audience will enjoy it just as much as those that are performing. Merry Christmas and have a good Christmas program.

Knowing them alone is not enough though, for many areas you will need to take classes and be properly certified in order to put in order food professionally. To make sure that you have all of the permissible courses and certifications you will most likely need to call your local condition board. Do not be afraid to "wake a sleeping giant" of sorts, they get these calls every day and will not be influenced into inspecting your making ready because of it. More likely, they will be on much good terms with you over the long run, knowing that you are trying to do the spoton thing.

Do you know about - Show And Tell - A Springboard For Math And Science study

Dental Hygienist Education! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

Before I started teaching, I imagined Show and Tell would consist of an concerned group of young children listening politely to each other and passing items colse to with care. This assumption fell apart fairly speedily during my first year as a teacher. Although there were times that things ran smoothly, the problems with Show and Tell were many and I found myself avoiding the experience. Even four and five year old children competed about who brought the coolest things. The event became even less spellbinding as students wanted to have a turn playing with toys, bored children fidgeted, squirmed and lost interest or upset children disrupted the class routines as they tried to keep their items a secret. Show and Tell often became a weekly advertisement for the latest toy or fast food bistro freebie.

What I said. It isn't outcome that the true about Dental Hygienist Education. You read this article for info on that want to know is Dental Hygienist Education.

How is Show And Tell - A Springboard For Math And Science study

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Dental Hygienist Education.

Parents also complained of the stress of trying to remember Show and Tell days, of trying to help their child select items to show or of dealing with indecisive children who wanted to bring something that would impress their classmates. Other parents took over the task completely, selecting objects and sending them with detailed notes to be read to the class or with instructions that no one was to touch the item nor was it to get broken. There had to be a best way.

In an effort to make Show and Tell work for the students, for me, and for busy parents, I picked one day a week for the operation and scheduled it as part of my math and science time. Everybody in the class was asked to bring the same item each week. I ordinarily brought a few extras for the few who forgot. Instead of using show and tell times to give children custom in public speaking, I scheduled distinct days for them to speak in front of the class about something they had recorded in their math and science journals.

Parents received a letter explaining that the purpose of show and tell would be to enlarge the math, science and literacy programs by building vocabulary and practicing classification and comparative skills. The children were to have the accountability of selecting the items, but from much narrower criteria.

The rules were: do not bring...
anything valuable, anything that could not be touched by all, or anything that would upset the student greatly if it got brokenanything alive, as students often have pet allergies and bugs in bottles are too often neglecteditems too large - ask - can they fit in a brown paper lunch bag? (exceptions here - books, and occasionally other items)toys - as they caused too many problems as mentioned previously

The parents were to remind their son or daughter to select an item from the list, but not to interfere with their child's option as long as it fit with the weekly list.

I also sent home a Show and Tell list for the whole year. This had a short note that recommend that the parents post the list on the fridge at their child's eye level, that they encourage the child to cross off each item weekly and to start looking for the next item, and that they remind the child to pack the item in their backpack the night before.

Classroom Show and Tell rules were: students were to bring the items into the class at the starting of the day, label them with name tags (children have printed name tags in their take home boxes; tape is in most centers) and put them on the Show and Tell display table. The children were always very excited on Show and Tell mornings and I scheduled some free time for them to look at the items on the table and to tell a few classmates about their items.

Sample Show and Tell list

When creating a yearly Show and Tell list, put the date first, then the item to bring, graphic with a straightforward drawing and finally a brief report of what the class operation will be. Keep the font large. Here is a sample from my list.

An apple (not for snack) - sorting, classifying and measurementSomething round - math vocabulary such as edges, face, circle, circular, classifying items by a collection of criteria such as size, color, materialA leaf - sorting shapes, colors, counting points, graphing similar types, tracing leaf shapes on papers and creating charts of similar and distinct leavesSomething shiny - comparison, vocabulary - reflection, reflect, testing (with a flashlight) how each item reflects lightSomething that can be recycled - knowledge of recycling, classifying items, counting, more, fewerAn old greeting card - determination with blocks. How many blocks long is your card? How many one inch squares cover your card? Graphing holiday images A shell - classify and sort by size, color, shape, notice drawingsSomething about Canada (map, flag, book, trinket) - awareness of Canadian symbols, shape of country, shapes of provinces, counting provinces, graphing occurrences of similar symbols

I ordinarily chose objects that complemented monthly themes.

Sample Show and Tell chapter with a Rock

The children place their Show and Tell rocks on the center of the carpet, and then sit down in a circle colse to them. I start with notice type questions. "What do you notice about the rocks? How are they the same? How are they different?

Let's sort the rocks by size. Which rock looks the largest? Which rock is the smallest? Let's make a long line." Everybody takes a turn placing his or her rock with student or trainer suggestions to rearrange the rocks when necessary.

"Now let's sort the rocks by darker colors and lighter colors. We can put the darker rocks on this plastic mat and the lighter ones on the other mat and the striped or speckled rocks in the middle." When this operation is complete and depending on the group attentiveness span you can further investigations. Examples, "Are there more dark rocks or more light rocks? Are there fewer dull rocks or fewer shiny ones? Let's sort the rocks by which ones wobble and which ones do not wobble. "

Counting items, graphing, extending math vocabulary or practicing other math concepts are easy to integrate into the chapter when there is a large quantity of the same object. Gear the chapter to the attentiveness span of the whole group. Children who want to continue comparing their rocks, for instance with a balance scale, can do so at center time.

Next I model an notice drawing on chart paper. Draw with a label and talk out loud to review your thinking. "I noticed that there are more wobbly rocks and fewer rocks that do not wobble. I am going to draw that for my notice drawing. I will draw a line down my paper and put more wobbly rocks on one side and fewer rocks that don't wobble on the other. The rocks are in general round shapes so I will make circles. I will add dots to some to make them look speckled. I am putting exiguous lines beside the rocks on this side to make them look like they are moving. Now I will color in with crayons so I don't cover up my drawing lines. I will color some light grey and some dark grey. Now I need to print the word, wobbly under my wobbly rocks. What sound do I hear first and what letter do I use? What is the next sound and letter?" Do the same with the words not wobbly. Close with a drawing of individual rocks. "I am going to draw the rock I brought to show on the other page. It is black and has white stripes." Stamp the drawing with the date stamp.

The children then sit at tables and report one or more of their observations about the chapter in their science and math journals. This is an open-ended operation and results will depend on the developmental level of each child. The children take turns stamping the date on their page.

This formula worked well for the children, their parents and for me. All the children had an opening to be complicated during each Show and Tell day and reviewing old, or learning new, science, math, and literacy concepts were a part of each Show and Tell experience.

Whatever your reasons for capping your teeth, there are any things to consider. The first and most prominent notice is to find an experienced dentist in the field. If the caps are put on improperly, they can speed up the breakdown of the teeth, or even cause tooth loss. The reckon for this is the strangeness in cleaning and maintaining the gums. The tiny space created between the cap and the tooth becomes more susceptible for plaque to form and the inflammation of the gums to begin. So when deciding on getting your teeth capped, you need to remember that it's going to take more work to keep your gums clean from foreign food particles and plaque buildup.

The fit of the cap should end above the gums, since this will make it easier to clean them. But some people don't want to have the cap margins visible for aesthetic reasons and will want them settled so they're invisible. Most people want the front teeth caps applied this way. But on the other teeth, where such small differences won't show, it might be wiser to have the regular, visible caps put on. This way the proper maintenance of the rest of the teeth will be much easier and a man can couple on the extra cleaning of the front teeth and gums where the caps are settled under the gums and are "invisible".

Once the caps are applied to the teeth, they should last in any place from five to twenty years or even more, especially if they were applied to a wholesome mouth and properly maintained and taken care of. There is no demand that if a outpatient maintains the gums with the proper care, he or she can double or triple the life span of both caps and crowns.

Your dentist will try to make the caps look real to the best of his expertise and experience. Here are some things you should know about human teeth when getting your caps. First of all, each tooth should vary slightly in its shape, color and position. Human teeth are not cut out of a "cookie cutter". And they are not all perfectly sparkling snow white in color! Natural teeth are not white. The total compound of the teeth should not be perfect. It should have a balance to it. The accomplished smile should conform to the body type, sex and also the personality of the patient. The teeth should match the shape of the face and head and look perfectly natural.

Deciding to have one's teeth capped is a big decision, both financially and emotionally. The amount one priority is seeing a good, experienced dentist to perform the procedure. Ask a lot of questions and give your dentist your input on the teeth and the caps. Tell him what you want your smile to look like! If you are diligent and do your homework in seeing a great dentist, you can have that award winning million-dollar smile you've always wanted!

Dental Hygienist Schools! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

The major public-education issue today is money. How much money do we spend on education? Do we need to spend more? What do we need to spend it on? There have been studies that have proven that the amount of dollars that we have spent on public schooling has not had a inescapable impact on student achievement. So what is the problem? The qoute is that we continue to spend the money on programs that are directed toward the wrong philosophy. The newest initiative was President Bush's "No student left behind." In system that sounds great. Obviously we do not want to leave any child behind. Politically speaking it is a great slogan and did a great deal to get President Bush elected. That within itself is one of the major issues. (problems) schooling is a major issue in every political campaign. Politicians continue to come up with programs every four years that promise to solve pubic educations problems. While they may sound good they are designed more to get a politician elected than they are to honestly helping public education.

What I said. It isn't outcome that the real about Dental Hygienist Schools. You check this out article for information about an individual want to know is Dental Hygienist Schools.

How is Major Issue in education

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Dental Hygienist Schools.

The "No Child Left Behind" initiative for example, sounded real good. Not only did it take care of all students but it put accountability on schools that were not successful. Citizens today want to put the blame for the lack of success in American schools directly on the schools. The accountability sounded great to the American people. The qoute is, what to do when you find out that you still do not have success. You can not close down every school that was not successful agreeing to the No school left behind guidelines. While the agenda called for greater expectations of students, it does not give students any alternatives in case they are not successful. It also puts other school systems in a compromising and overcrowded state if you close down schools that are not successful on the standardized test.

So what do I resolve? I believe that we need to have alternatives for the personel students. I do not believe that we can continue to use the cookie cutter approach to public education. We can not continue to exertion to teach all students in the same manner in hopes that we will get the same results. We have great examples in Europe, China, and Japan. We correlate our brightest to their brightest and come up short in math and science. We need to concentrate on personel students who have exhibited potential in math and science, and continue with their efforts, while providing other meaningful careers and professions to others.

More importantly we need to start teaching our students how to think, and solve problems. The key lies in teaching students how to think, not just to memorize a set of facts. The students who gain a love for life long learning and knows how to solve problems will go much further.

When it comes to the issue of health care, politicians have a plan that is directed by doctors, hospitals, and hospital administration. These are the real professionals who can make a difference in health care. The issue of schooling needs to be left up to the real professionals, teachers and administration, not politicians. The amount of dollars spent on public schooling would then be worthy of the schooling they would get.

Perfect Attendance is prominent for students for many reasons. First, it teaches the importance of seeing something through. Getting to school each day on time is a skill that authentically translates to the workforce and beyond. Of course it's prominent not to miss lessons, but teaching a 15-year-old to appreciate that can be difficult. One angle that is easier to take is that while working on group projects, staying home doesn't just affect you but the whole group. Either in the planning stages or manufacture a group presentation, the absence of one trainee will affect the whole group negatively. It's especially prominent for students to be present at school when other people are relying on them. Teaching dependability and responsibility at a young age will affect students for their whole lives.

So if teaching children the affects of their actions on themselves and those nearby them, why is it prominent to repaymen them for perfect attendance? Shouldn't it just be a requirement? Unfortunately, sometimes doing the right thing isn't adequate to get kids going; they need further incentive. Giving out awards for perfect attendance takes only a few minutes and a few dollars on the part of the school board, but it gives students something to strive towards all year long. Don't make perfect attendance someone else tick box on the already long list of schoraly demands. Instead, make it something that students can be proud of accomplishing.
